Andy is back in Sg Long once again. We went up to our usual place again Hulu Langat. We had our royal dinner uphill. Back in Sg Long we had our CSS beer party. Great and tirering day indeed. (see the 4 spooky ghost?)

Melvyn & Mellisa wedding (27-9-08)

Early morning we went to HFK for the wedding mass. For your info, the bridegroom is Aunty Alice son. The bride is from Melaka as well. Both of them meet during their studies in New Zealand. For the first time, the mass is conducted by 6 priests. (new record so far) . The church guess fill the church about 80%.

At night the dinner is held in JW Marriot in Putrajaya.

God : This is GOD. I heard your prayers. So I thought I will chat.

Me: I do pray. Just makes me feel good. I am actually busy now. I am in the midst of something.

God : What are you busy at? Ants are busy too.

Me: Don't know. But I can't find free time. Life has become hectic. It's rush hour all the time.

God : Sure. Activity gets you busy. But productivity gets you results. Activity consumes time. Productivity frees it.

Me: I understand. But I still can't figure out. By the way, I was not expecting YOU to buzz me on instant messaging chat.

God : Well I wanted to resolve your fight for time, by giving you some clarity. In this net era, I wanted to reach you through the medium you are comfortable with.

Me: Tell me, why has life become complicated now?

God : Stop analyzing life. Just live it. Analysis is what makes it complicated.

Me: Why are we then constantly unhappy?

God : Your today is the tomorrow that you worried about yesterday.You are worrying because you are analyzing. Worrying has become your habit. That's why you are not happy.

Me: But how can we not worry when there is so much uncertainty?

God : Uncertainty is inevitable, but worrying is optional.

Me: But then, there is so much pain due to uncertainty. .

God : Pain is inevitable, but suffering is optional.

Me: If suffering is optional, why do good people always suffer?

God : Diamond cannot be polished without friction. Gold cannot be purified without fire. Good people go through trials, but don't suffer. With that experience, their life become better, not bitter.

Me: You mean to say such experience is useful?

God : Yes. In every terms, Experience is a hard teacher. She gives the test first and the lessons afterwards.

Me: But still, why should we go through such tests? Why can't we be free from problems?

God : Problems are Purposeful Roadblocks Offering Beneficial Lessons (to) Enhance Mental S trength. Inner strength comes from struggle and endurance, not when you are free from problems.

Me: Frankly in the midst of so many problems, we don't know where we are heading..

God : If you look outside, you will not know where you are heading. Look inside. Looking outside, you dream. Looking inside, you awaken. Eyes provide sight. Heart provides insight.

Me: Sometimes not succeeding fast seems to hurt more than moving in the right direction. What should I do?

God : Success is a measure as decided by others. Satisfaction is a measure as decided by you. Knowing the road ahead is more satisfying than knowing you rode ahead. You work with the compass. Let others work with the clock.

Me: In tough times, how do you stay motivated?

God : Always look at how far you have come rather than how far you have to go. Always count your blessings, not what you are missing.

Me: What surprises you about people?

God: when they suffer they ask, 'why me?' When they prosper, they never ask 'Why me' Everyone wishes to have truth on their side, but few want to be on the side of the truth.

Me: Sometimes I ask, who am I, why am I here. I can't get the answer.

Aunty Pat house blessing (26-7-08)

After sunset mass, we went to Aunty Pat's new house for house blessing with Aunty Alice and Uncle Francis. On the way going her house, we saw batman's Lamborghini in sg long..

okok~ back to main title:
Father William was already there when we reach at aunty's house. So the blessing ceremony began with prayers and reading. While all of us were saying Hail Mary in the living room, the priest blest the house by sprinkling the Holy Water in the house compound, accompanied by the family. After that, we had our dinner prepared by aunties. :)

We went to Aunty Pat new house located at 6, sl8/12 for her new house warming. There are so many food to eat there as the place is crowed with people. Even the satay come from satay Kajang. We eat so much and even drink alcohol. (Nelly face turn red after drink just 1 glass). We drink and play a lot that night. Its been a very long time we did not be so enjoying as this already.

wanted to have some drinks at Gasoline at 1st.. it was crowded (probably bcz of saturday night) that noone serve us even though we sat there for half hour.. n was told to wait another one hour if we order ice blended == due to poor service, we changed to another restaurant.. "Look Out Station".. which was having lesser people but also lesser choice in menu~ >_<

As usual we went to mass on Sat sunset mass. After mass we eat dinner with Aunty Alice at Luckly Village in sg Long. Later on our adventure begins again. We went to Dataran Merdeka to view the beautiful street lights there. Later on, we went to Murni to yum cha while watching the EURO 08 match there as well. The people there were fully pack. Back sg long on 5am. I heard Calvin car went somewhere else and back on sunrise...

This time destination....Look Out Point again...yeaa. We went there up there without the noizy kid Nelly this time. In fact all of us went there this time is first timer excepct the main guide Calvin as usual. Look at the view, its so BEAUTIFUL! Cooling night as well. Yea, we loved it! Finish sight seeing, we went Steven's Corner for yum cha before head back to sg Long. Later on 2nd round of outings again to somewhere else...

As usual after mass we fellowship among ourselves. This time dinner we eat at F1 at Serdang Lama. This time our Kids Nelly suggest Putrajaya....haizzzz. Then the way we take off again. We went round the place. Back Evergreen at 3am, do planning, then yum cha first at Dchola. 4am went Hulu Langat again. (we must be crazy liao). Back sg Long 6am, then straight breakfast till 7.30am. Never sleep the whole night. Record breaking day. Must do this crazy idea again.. Be prepared for more events next time..yea..

A sudden yum cha idea from Calvin suggesting to go to Steven Corner. Therefore we went to there and enjoy ourselves there. Suprisingly, after that Calvin car went up to the mount (look out point) again.. I wonder until what time they are back.

At Mid Valley a small reunion of old CSS the old trio Andy, Kenny, and of course the Queen Ida. A sudden surprise indeed for me (Andy) as Ida is back in KL for her vacation. Unfortunatelly she is unable to visit sg Long as time is not permitting. The outing involve 5 person, Andy and my brother Adrian, Kenny, and Ida with her sister Irene. I hope there will be another reunion again next time. Until next time when the time allows... God bless..

Sudden trip to Hulu Langat (12-6-08)

We yum cha on 12 june 10pm till 12am +. Suddenly an idea came from Nelly say very sien and wan to go somewhere. Calvin suggest Hulu Langat, and the way we go. Yeaaa. Feel guity we go after eric2 and annie left early.

We went Mini Genting First, then later only Hulu Langat. Finally, we went to Mahkota Cheras there at there garden there. Not bad as well.. Yum cha 2nd round at Mahkota Cheras there before back home near 3.30am..hihi////.......

RKK event on 7th Jun 2008. (same day as our Agong Birthday as well)..

At start, we eat breakfast together at Fan Wah there at 8am. When we about to start our journey to RKK, the sky turn dark it rain a bit. However we still proceed our activity as we believe the rain will stop soon.

We arrive there around 9.30am. We begin with a failure performance from Andy(cis cis...) to spice up the morning. Later on we begins with our few ice breaking games which is charades (by Angelin), khawin tunang cerai (by eric2) and superhero game (by Andy). Proceed on we dance shalalala (lead by Stephanie)(it seems eric1 and Calvin struggle to follow up the dance).

Moving on we take a short break a we get ready for our station games. During the break Andy this time performe all his sucessful magic trick this time that really impress the kids. (to close face from first trick failure) In our station games, we play 'pass band with toothpick'(green house), 'find the object' (yellow house), 'water filling' (red house) and 'object search in flour' (blue house)

Finish up the games, we take short break to cool ourself up. During the break Valentine and Eric2 peformed the dance peformance. We end up our session with giving some souvenir to the kids. Its indeed an enjoyable experience to share our joy to others.

ENd up the session we went to Jusco at Mc D for our lunch as its already near 2pm. Back home take a good rest and we can to go for mass in the evening already. Hope no one fall into adoration during mass time. Indeed a great blessing day for us.

Ipoh Trip Day 3 (25/5/08)

Day 3 - So fast time pass, already last day of the trip. Not yet visit some park, and historic places yet. We wake up a little bit late the last day is we sleep quite late. We eat at New Town area again with various choices of mee.

Later we went to Ipoh Parade for a short time of shopping. Before we went to the bus station, we drop by a shop near Gopeng there to buy some famous biscuit. We finally left Ipoh at 2.30pm. Class is starting the next days again. awwnnn 'Sien Diao'...

Ipoh Trip Day 2 (24/5/08)

Day 2 - We wake up early in the morning to eat Dim Sum at city centre. We need to fill up our tummy before our exciting journey begins as there will be no lunch during the cave adventure later.

After breakfast, we went to Gua Tempurung ( a famous tourist visit place in Parak). It takes us around 40minute to reach there as it is in Kampar district. Most of us dress up in black shirt, short pants, and with slipper. (thanks to the experience and advice of Alex) Very cave indeed was dark, wet, and spooky. We need to slide, crawl, and walk carefully on wet slippery ground.

After cave, we all decided to give UTAR Kampar a visit. (At least we are senior there leh) We go around our Kampar campus before settle down for lunch + tea time. Later we need to rush back for mass in Ipoh.

At night we went to St Michael Ipoh church for mass. After mass we eat dinner at Woolley Food Court. (Look at Alex, our 'Tai Lo' of the trip, so yeng!) The ice kacang and popiah there is not bad. Later all went to Angelin house to take a rest awhile. (Btw we haven bath yet wan after the cave trip as we were rushing for mass.)

At night we went to Jucso Area there to 'yum cha'. We sit at friends cafe ( a new shop in Ipoh) and chat till 2am. Later all went back home to have their rest for the final day.

Ipoh Trip Day 1 (23-5-08)

DAY 1 - We arrive at Ipoh around 12pm at Gopend bus stop. We put our luggage in our respective house then gather at Ipoh Jusco area. We went to Pasir Puteh to eat mee there. The price there is rather cheap and really worth to eat. Can you believe it RM1.20 per bowl of mee?

At the evening, we went to 2 beautiful cave. The first cave is more like a temple with high stairs to climb. The 2nd cave had a beautiful garden. (Gerden of Eden I would name it). However the rain start to pour down heavily on the evening. We rush back to our respective house waiting for dinner later. ( The picture is so cool) (Nice scenery there as well)

At night, we eat Ipoh famous 'Chicken Tauge Mee' at newtown area there. Later the night we went to Alex house to play cards. Follow up all went to Andy house for another house visits. Yum cha plan was cancel since the next day need to wake up early for a challenging cave visits.

CSS Cooking Dinner 11-5-08

That day 6 of us went to morning mass. After mass, suddenly an idea came out 'we eat cooking dinner tonight'. So we went to Tesco after mass. Suprisingly Wilson is the main chef. Not bad leh. We eat our self cook dinner at Grace house. A wonderful place full of snacks. So hor.. if next time got any gathering we know who to refer right. The rest of us main duty is just to eat only. Of course wor, we were helping to eat. Yea... Indeed a full day of fellowship.. :>

Left side she is Li Qing, CSS former auditor. Center is Yee Hui, former Treasurer and Vice Treasurer. On the right is Karren Sin former CSS chairperson and secretary. In fact, Karren is the founder of CSS as she is also the vice SRC rep. A cheerful girl indeed.

CSS UTAR annual dinner

We had our final annual dinner for this sem in Green Box in Jusco Cheras Selatan after the AGM on 8th April. We sing from 8pm to 2am. Cool!... First time sing for so long.. There were non stop singing after singing and singing.... We rocks....yea..

Thanks a lot for journeying together for so long. Its destiny that we all here were to meet. "When two or three are gather in my name, the Lord will be there." Thanks for the sweet memories... Will be missing this and all the wonderful moments spend together.

Finally the time had come for a change of new EXCO board of CSS. Af last the tourch had pass to a new leader. May the blessing be with new new CSS member.

The day begins with opening prayer. Followed up with praise & worship section of 2 songs 'Hari Ini' and 'Above All'. Later there are few ice breaking conducted by Wilson. Move on Eric2 read the gospel reading and Andy give some preaching of the day. We conclude the day with AGM for the new board.

For the first time we did our Exam Mass outside of campus. Celebrant was Father Christopher from Sacred Heart. Thanks a lot to the help of Aunty Alice who offer her beautiful house for us. BTW father sermon was really interesting. Besides father praise the choir team sing very well. hihi... Too bad for those who miss this special Exam Mass event.. :)

Besides father Chris birthday is on 30Mar which fall on our Family Day event. Therefore we sing a birthday song to father as well. Thanks Laura for the info. Followed up there were small dance performance from Eric & Valentine. Simple performance but they were cool. Hope that they will perform in future event again. We wrap the day with fellowship and refreshment. Wonderful day indeed...

Happy farewell to those with grad soon as well. Love you all.........

Sg. Long Family Day

This family day was held on 30th March 2008. Organise by UTAR CSS to all Sg. Long Zone Resident BEC.

Indeed we done lots of preparation before the events begins. The picture showing us preparing our games and refreshment.

However the day rain, sigh,,, changing us to go for plan B. We play had to play indoor games in the house. Look at Eric, how happy his life. His the man!

After the rain stop, we proceed to our games as usual. Due to limited time, few games can be played only. Besides, we celebrate birthday for one of the children as well that falls on that day. Happy Birthday from us CSS as well, we bless you.

Around 50 people attented this event. A very interesting indeed. From the pic, can see that we were the 'Black Gang'....spooky.....

Early early in the morning all the lovely birds wake up and go to Seremban to help up to clean the Carmalite there with Aunty Alice.

The day indeed were very tired as in the morning cleaning up the whole place, then evening help to decorate the church. Later at night go for Holy Thursday mass somemore. This childdren all are indeed blessed....

Waterfall trip in Semenyih

We had our outings at Semenyih Waterfall in Kajang area. It was held on 24-2-08. Early in the morning we gather at MZ mamak stall for breakfast before move on to our destination places. In the morning, most people physical was there but mentally was not there. Imagine 7am gather at mamak on sunday morning somemore. However upon arrival we had a fun time playing around with each others. After the waterfall, we went to a new destianation...

Yea its true, we visit Nirvana place where it is a graveyard. (A dream place to RIP indeed; proven with good Fung Sui) We hang around there wih the unique statue and beautiful scenery there before having our lunch together. Everyone was looking half dead exhausted for the day. A great fellowship for us indeed....

CSS CNY dinner with Uncle Francis and Aunty Alice on 26-1-08. Eating wonderful delicious food including the entertaiment playing 'Lo Sang'. Thanks a lot to aunty and uncle for their kind treatment and angpow.. Yea a great CNY year...with extra angpow. We do visit other house to gain extra angpow as well. hihi...$$$ yeaaaa. You know, its CNY season..must enjoy while we are still unmarried.

Its one week after the students mass. We feel like we had know the rest of others uni friends as we had know them for years. Thats night after mass there we so many of us catholic there in 'Da Chong' until i lost my count already.

The inter campus Student Mass 2008 was attended by nearly 400 students from all around KL area. WOW!!! What a big number of us attending it. Besides it was conducted by our ArchBishop his grace Murphy Parkiam! For us UTAR, 9 of us from FAM campus attended it. 2 from FES and 1 from FAS. It was held on on 13th Jan 2008 in st John Cathedral. It followed up with a huge fellowship after the mass. Walao what a day..but its not over yet...After the mass ended we went to Pavillion and Star Hill there. The place was soooo cool. Yum cha at PJ before went back to sg Long to start our next day...

Inter Campus Gathering ICG'07

This is the Inter-Campus Gathering event which was held on 13-16Oct 2007. It was the mega event held as near 550 students appear for it. It was attended by university students from various campuses from whole West Malaysia. The photo show only people from KLCC area only which reach 170 number of people. For UTAR, we have 8 of us attending this ICG. (6FAM and 2FES : Andy,Wilson, Sarah, Stephanie, Veronica, Lee Ling, Nicholes, Sophia) This picture only show poeple from KLCC area only. WOW!!! so many of us all around Malaysia. (the pic represent people from KLCC only, yet there were so many of us). Next ICG will be held on 2009 from MJCC. Do not miss out this mega event in future

Pre ICG 07

The pre-ICG was held in HFK parish on 29 Sept 2007. It was attended around 70 students from UPM, UKM, UCSI, and UTAR. There were games, praise & worship, and seminar for the day. Its a preparation for us before we head to our ICG event. We manage to make new friends through this pre-ICG. :>
